Anxiety does not empty tomorrow of its sorrows, but only empties today of its strength. Charles Spurgeon In this life I have been blessed with I have faced many challenges. Throughout most of the challenges I have found myself overcome with anxiety and worry about the outcome. Yet, when I look back on all of them they all worked out just fine by God's grace. There is a lesson to be learned in all of the events. However, the greatest lesson to be learned is each time I allow anxiety to creep in it seems to have its way. It appears to take complete control to the point where I become subjected to a state of paralysis. I am robbed of making a clear decision, because of the weakness that has overtaken me. On the other hand in the instance where I choose to "Trust God," I find a place of peace. He carries me through and regardless of the problems that arise, I know that He's working it out for my good. I understand that He has my best interest in mind and His plans are designed to cause me to prosper. In those times I enjoy supernatural strength. Situations that would have broken me in the past I seem to walk through with my head held high. And it is those times that I know He's in the midst of it all. None of us can determine the outcome of tomorrow, because tomorrow is not promised. Yet, we can control how we react to today's problems. With a positive and determined attitude we can go through our tribulations and still have peace in the midst of the fire. We can trust in God, and rely on His grace to give us strength and peace in the midst. We simply must choose to not submit to the anxiety, worry, and panic the enemy wants to surround us with. He knows that when we do, he wins. He knows that he causes us to be paralyzed with indecision and lack of faith. Instead we must lay our burdens at the throne of God, choosing to bring our burdens to Him and take His burdens and yoke, which are light and easy. At that point we have peace and strength.
