28Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth Does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable. 29He gives strength to the weary, And to him who lacks might He increases power. 30Though youths grow weary and tired, And vigorous young men stumble badly, 31Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary. Isaiah 40:28-31 This past week has been quite challenging for me. I struggled with maintaining a positive attitude and one of cheer throughout the week. It seems as if my problems outweighed my blessings...at least in my mind anyway. Every time I tried to think of something positive or encouraging to say to myself, the enemy was right there telling me it wasn't true. Trying to convince me that I should quit pretending that there is hope; that my situations are hopeless and will never change. Each time that my frustration took over, immediately after a calming peace would take hold. The reality of my situations would be brought to the surface, and a scripture revealed in my mind's eye. Does life get trying at times? Yes. Does it become a challenge trying to remain positive in the face of adversity? Yes. Do some seasons in life seem never-ending? Yes. But that's no reason to give up. Just as many 'yeses' we can find on life's perils, we can find that many on the upside. Is God faithful? Yes. Is He a provider? Yes. Did He bless us with another day of life? If you're reading this, Yes. Are His mercies new every morning? Yes. Keep your faith, keep your head up and keep waiting on the Lord. Don't give up. He's faithful and He never changes. See Hebrews 13:8 Living Life Beautifully Inspired!
