I had hoped when my life was chronicled, it would be an inspirational story. - Om Puri Inspiration is a powerful element of life. Some people are inspired in the arts and science, for others it might be fashion, or religion. Still other people find inspiration in daily living. They are inspired to pursue their dreams, take on a challenge, or simply be the real "them." Their inspiration can come from a high profile celebrity, or the checkout clerk at the grocery store. We often find inspiration in some of the simplest things in life, whether it be a word from a loved one, lyrics to a song, or a quote from a book. I have found inspiration in a child's smile, a waterfall, and the sun shining. I seek to inspire my family, my friends and co-workers. I want to leave an impact on the members of my church family, associates, those that follow me on my blog and on social media sites. I even want to leave an impact on those that I may never see again, another customer at my daughter's favorite hip hop fashion store in the mall, the homeless person on the street in downtown Atlanta as I walk from the commuter bus to my job, and the person in the car next to me crying. But what I have learned is that there is nothing specific that I can do to be inspirational. I have learned through my husband's constant repetitions and life experience that I can only be me. And in being the best me that I can be I just might touch a life. Everyday I simply ask the Lord to use me to bless someone else. I seek when possible to be that light in a darkened world. And when He choose to, He uses me to touch a life. Some days, I am just quirky, emotional, zany me, who doesn't make sense to another soul including myself. But it's in these moments that I am the best me. Because I am simply me in the raw. And in those rare instances, I have found that I have impacted someone's life. Why? Because I wasn't scared to be me, and I didn't worry about living under the cloud of judgment of another's opinions. Today, I want to encourage you to be the best you that you can be. Don't worry about someone else not approving of you. Don't let the weight of others' opinions crush you. Know who you are, and Whose you are. When you are simply being you and being the best you that you can be, that's when you inspire someone else. That's when you touch a life, whether it's ever revealed to you or not. Live life for you! Live your life with courage, purpose and faith! Live Life Beautifully Inspired!
