I've often heard that you have to be careful what you pray for, or more to the point, be specific in your prayers. Because I failed to do so, at times lately I have felt a bit overwhelmed. Especially over the weekend. I have found comfort in the Scriptures below, and hope you will as well. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. (Philippians 4:8) The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1) It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed. (Deuteronomy 31:8) When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears, and rescues them from all their troubles. (Psalm 34:17) Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7) My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. (2 Corinthians 12:9) You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. (Psalm 32:7-8) If you have enjoyed this post click "LIKE" and Tweet it to your followers. To join this blog simply click "Follow This Blog," "Subscribe," or "Email" links in the upper right corner.
