Without reflection, we go blindly on our way, creating more unintended consequences, and failing to achieve anything useful. - Margaret J. Wheatley This is the final Motivational Monday Moment for 2015. As I reflect on this past year there have been many ups and downs throughout this rollercoaster ride I call life. Some were good and others not so good. Yet, I must admit it was less challenging than last year. Through it all I pray that I have learned more about myself and others around me, and grown stronger in my faith. I pray that if certain situations arise again I will pass with flying colors and make my Lord proud of me. I pray in all I do I will learn to point the way to Him and give Him glory through my behaviors and actions. I have tried to take the life experiences I have endured and use them to produce positive, motivational messages for you. I hope that in my transparency at times you have been touched, encouraged, inspired, or motivated towards something greater. More than anything I sincerely hope that I have learned to reflect on various times of my life and learn lessons from each segment. I don't want to have to repeat those lessons again, because I failed to learn anything. I also pray that you will do the same. As the quote says, if we fail to reflect on our lives and choices (good and bad), we will continue to repeat the cycle, making the same mistakes. I think His intention is for us to learn from everything we have gone through and share our lessons with others that they, too, may be inspired through our testimony. As you reflect on 2015 don't look at it as all bad. Regardless to what you went through or what happened to you, ask yourself what lesson can be learned from it all. What did you learn about yourself as you went through the fire. And as my husband, Marvin, says "when you have that quiet time alone, peel back the layers." You might be surprised at what you find on the inside. Getting to the root cause of your attitudes, behaviors and situations serve to heal you and make you a better person. Don't stop at the surface and settle for the outer layer excuse of your issues. Rather dig down deep until you get to the root, or the heart of the matter. Get to know you even more by spending time in reflection and learning something useful through it all. May you be blessed in this week. Go forth and prosper and may God keep you, grow you, and anoint you for an amazing 2016! It's been another Motivational Monday Moment. Come back next Monday to see how I'm switching things up a bit.
