“Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.” Neale Donald Walsch Ahhh, that wonderful word…comfort zone. We love it, we embrace it, we rejoice in it, we’re defined by it and we’re restricted by it. Quite often we find ourselves in a place that makes us feel good; a place that we don’t believe we need to push beyond the boundaries. We don’t want to test the waters, or go to the edge to see what’s on the other side. But, this limited thinking traps us in the confines of our finite minds, prohibiting us from exceling and reaching for the stars. As our children return back to school today, I reflect on my Pastor’s words yesterday, regarding exceling. He spoke about exceling in our worship, praise and offering. On last night, my husband and I spoke with our children about exceling in their attitudes, behaviors and decisions. Embracing an attitude of excellence will allow them to soar beyond their dreams. This school year doesn’t have to be riddled with doubt, fears, insecurities, or insignificance. Instead, they can have what they say they can have, they can achieve what they believe they can achieve, they can embrace every dream they ever dreamt. This holds true for us as adults, as well. We can only begin to pursue our dreams, live a beautiful life, inspire others, and excel beyond the moon and the stars when we step out of our comfort zone. Only when we push towards the end of that comfort zone can we truly begin living, breathing, ascending, soaring, and exceling. What’s on your mind and heart today? What’s preventing you from pushing beyond your comfort zone? Remove that spirit of fear, and embrace new depths and heights. Live the beautiful life you were designed to live. We can achieve anything we set our hearts on and more if we believe and have the confidence to carry on.
