The Storms of Life...

“Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.” Rabindranath Tagore

We often connect clouds with storms, thunder, rain, lightening, tribulation and trials. But this does not have to always take on a negative connotation. When adversity and trials come, we are to embrace the challenge with a positive attitude. I’m not saying that you’re supposed to jump up and down when it comes, or have that “I can’t wait until trials come my way attitude.” However, I am saying that you can embrace the change by having a different perspective on life’s trials.

James 1:2-4 encourages you to consider it joy when you face adversity. During these times your faith is being tested, which will lead to perseverance. And when that part of the test has been completed, you've grown, matured and you're completed...ready to move on to the next test.

Diverse trials in our lives come to mold, grow and shape us. They come to test our faith. However, the testing adds to the beauty of who we are, and our life experiences. When we come out refined as gold, we’re more stable in our emotions, persistent in our stance, and we’re stronger in our spirit and faith. The test allows us to share our testimony down the road with someone who may be experiencing a similar trial. Finally, God gets the glory in the end.

Have a motivated, faith-filled week.
