Hey girlfriends! It's Tuesday and you know what that means! Tyrone's back and taking over. Today, it's time to have a little sit down chat with Ty. So much is going on around the shop, that I had to take some time away from visiting ya'll, but don't fret girlfriend. Who loves you, boo?

Anyhoo, I was supposed to be here today sharing an excerpt with you and I got off track. We all waiting to find out the truth about the baby. I'm gonna give you a sneak peek of where Nikki's at with all that.

BeJeweled: A Beautiful Blend
(Chapter 15: Baby Mama Drama)


Nikki stared out the window watching the downtown scenery pass by as they merged onto the connector. As he merged onto 400, she finally broke the silence.

“What’s on your mind, Wes?” Nikki asked.

“You.” Recalling the first time he had taken this journey, his grip on the steering wheel tightened. He had been consumed with his feelings for her, until she broke his heart. The last few months had been spent healing the damage. Although he wasn’t quite there yet, he knew he was well on his way.

“I thought we were past all that now.” She turned in her seat to look at him.

A small smile played around his lips. “We haven’t gotten past the baby. I’m just wondering what’s up with you. I know you’re interested in moving on with your life and I am, too. But there’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think about this baby.”

“I’m trying to really clear my head and focus on this baby. Things between Carlos and I are strained. I really, really love my husband. But I have to make sure that whatever happens I do it with a clear mind. Whether, or not we get back together, only time will tell. We’ve never had our shot before you know what I mean?” Seeing him nod his head she continued on, “I believe this is the key to turning things around for me and him. I gotta make sure it’s what we both want. And you’re right…I was considering a divorce for the wrong reasons.”

Wesley glanced at her a brief moment, before turning his attention back to the road.

“I want you to work things out with your dude Nikki, if that’s what you want. I’m not trying to get with you, but if the baby is in fact mine, I’m not gonna walk away either and you gotta know that.”

He glanced at her again, as she continued staring out the window.

“How’d he take the news about this possibly not being his baby?”

Nikki remained quiet, and her face impassive.

Slowly it dawned on Wes. “Nikki? Are you for real? You haven’t told him have you?”

Honey, can you believe that hussy? She still playing games! But that's okay. Because we all gon' find out who the baby daddy is in this book. I'm gon' take girlfriend to Maury myself. And he's gonna look at Wes and say "you are not the father!" then he gonna look at Carlos and say,

"You are not the father!" Nikki gon' roll around on the floor like a damned fool. Then Maury gon' look at me and say, "Tyrone in the case of Nikki's baby, you are..."

You thought! I know...I play too much, but it was worth it to see the look on your face. Plus, I made you laugh today.
