“When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left and could say, I used everything you gave me.” – Erma Bombeck Do you know what your talents are? Are you aware of your innate gifts? I have heard that your talents or God given gifts are those things, which you do easier than others. When I look at members of my family, it's easy for me to break that down. My gift is writing, and I am becoming aware of a certain spiritual gift, as well. My husband and my youngest son are phenomenal in numbers. My daughter is gifted in athletics, and my oldest son is gifted in drawing. We each have many more gifts that we have been endowed with, but those are our focal gifts that we nurture. Outside of our natural gifts we are each blessed with spiritual gifts, which we are to use to bring Him glory and enhance the lives of others. Whether it be knowledge, wisdom, teaching, helping, or leadership, we are to do it to His glory. We are to pour out everything that we have in making this world a better place. We can improve one person's life daily, just based on our attitudes, or what we do for them. You never know whose life you will impact or how. Simply be the best you can be, and use your gifts to build those around you. It is essential that we exercise my our gifts, so that they do not go to waste. Our gifts are not given to us to be used for selfish purposes, but they are to be used for a greater goal...serving others. In the women's fiction books I write, I capture important trials and tribulations that average people experience. However, I always try to lead the way back to God, to growing beyond life's challenges, and learning to believe in yourself. Because in the end you can accomplish great works, if you simply believe in yourself, and a Higher Power. I believe in all that we do it should be done as a service to Him and to His people.
