A Golden Life...

Sunshine!

A Diva is back and I'm ready to roll! Honey, I had to get me some much needed vacation and fun in the sun! When I tell you I had fun, boo, trust me you don't know how to party until you do a Tyrone party! Anyhoo, keeping in mind this blog is rated "G," I won't dare share the delectable details of my visit to Florida.

Dare I say Miami is enticing enough to make you want to run away from home!!! It was me, a couple of friends, a little sex on the beach, and that thong! thong! thong! thong! thong!

Did I just reveal too many details about my vacation? Oops!

Boolicious, get your mind out the gutter!!! I was sipping on the drink sex-on-the-beach, and some freaky people were playing Sisqo's Thong Song, for some ladies walking by.

Well, now that I'm back and I've been prayed over by both Chelle and Mrs. O, I should be all good and forgiven of every single one of my sins, dahlins'!

Speaking of repentance, I hear someone in book 4 has had a change of heart about their old ways. Take a peek:

BEJEWELED: STANDING STRONG (BOOK 4)

“Look, this shit...material things I chased for so long…don’t mean a damned thing. All that matters in this life is staying true to yourself. Being who you are and working for the greater good in this world. You taught me that. But it was a lesson I wished I’d learned earlier in life. The condo? Sold it. The money’s in an account for you along with money from some other things I’ve sold. This car? It’s yours. I’ve already started the paperwork. My lawyer’s in here now to meet up with me. Afterwards, he’s gonna go with you to the DMV to finish off the process.”

****
Boo, who could that possibly be sounding all apologetic like that? And who could they be possibly talking to, and why in the name of all that's wonderful are they giving up everything? Hmph, somebody has a repentant heart. I'll give you one clue...it sho' in the hell ain't me!

Ty's living my life like it's golden and I'm not having an issue with it. Anyhoo, that's all for now, boo. I got's to go cuz these divas been running around here lookin' a hot mess since I've been gone. My clientele is backed up around the corner. So, let me go clock these dollas!!

If you need yo' 'do did, you know where to find me.

Being A Wife Just Got Real w/Tanya Barnett...

5/27/2016

Picture
Diagnosed with Alopecia and diabetes, Tanya Barnett knew it was time to change her life. Author, motivational speaker, non-profit founder, wife, and mother, this sensational woman of God is here today to share her story. She's impacting lives and making a stance to change the world, one wife, one woman, one life at a time.

Read on...
CHELLE: Who is Tanya Barnett the woman?

TANYA: I am a woman who loves God, is driven by a desire to serve people and daily attempts to let at least one person know that they have value.

CHELLE: Describe a normal day in your life involving your home life and writing life.

TANYA: I wake up around 4:30am to go for a walk with my hubby (when he gets up) or for a run by myself. After I shower, I listen to the Bible app and then look at my goals for the month and the action steps I need to take to achieve those goals. I am a substitute teacher, which allows me freedom to take off when I need to so I use that time to blog and work on my nonprofit, Forever Free Books. Evenings include spending time with my husband and kids.

CHELLE: How do you balance being a wife, mother, author, and speaker with your personal spiritual life?

TANYA: To be honest, there is no balance for me. I had to learn how to just say “no” to things and people. I learned that “no” is a complete sentence and does not require an explanation. Since doing that this year, my businesses have taken off and opportunities are literally finding me.

CHELLE: I love that statement!!! Unfortunately, that is a difficult lesson for most of us to learn, not giving an explanation. I know I have often felt I owed someone one, when in fact I didn’t. You should write a book on that alone. LOL!!

On a more serious note, you battled diabetes and learned you had alopecia. How did going through those events in your life shape your perspective as a woman? Did it have any impact on your family life?

TANYA: It was very painful especially since I was in my 30s. We aren’t supposed to have issues, or so I thought. My perspective changed from these events because I realized that my life is very precious and that I had to take care of me.

Diabetes had a positive impact on my family because I had to change how and what I ate. In doing this, my family ate healthier, too. My having alopecia had no impact on my family like I initially thought it would. They were and still are very supportive.

CHELLE: Do you think you would be willing to create a cookbook with recipes for those battling diabetes, or just meals for families to live healthier?

TANYA: Yes!!! I have a culinary photographer already. Nothing in the works yet…just tossing ideas.

CHELLE: Okay, well I for one am looking forward to seeing that project come to fruition. For readers who are unfamiliar with your upcoming release, tell us about Being a Wife Just Got Real.

TANYA: Being A Wife Just Got Real is a true story about me and my husband, Don. I got married with a fairy tale idea of what it would be like but within 3 weeks of us being married, everything started downhill real fast. In this book, I share how we treated each other and the results of those behaviors. I also share how I changed my behavior and the impact it had on my marriage.

CHELLE: I think most of us go into marriage a bit deluded. It does not work until we begin to learn compromise and humility. What led you to share your story with others?

TANYA: I wanted women to know that they are not alone and that NONE of us have perfect marriages. People say to us all the time that they wish they had a marriage like ours but I let them know it took time and effort to get to what you see 17 years later.

CHELLE: Whew!!! I can attest to that one myself, Tanya. LOL!!! How has sharing your story with others influenced your marriage?

TANYA: The whole time I was writing it, I cried and apologized to my husband, a lot. This also opened up lots of dialogue and reflection for the both of us. It has truly brought us closer together.

CHELLE: What do you hope other women will learn from your story?

TANYA: Basically, I want women (single and married) to know that marriage is REAL and that there are REAL issues, but with lots of love and prayer, all things are possible to conquer. I also want them to stop blaming their husbands for everything and to take ownership and responsibility for their behaviors.

CHELLE: You just touched on the heart of an issue my husband and I have been working on, and we are producing a play about. It is so good to hear another wife and woman of God say that. What words of advice do you have for other women who may be newly married going through similar situations?

TANYA: Get a prayer partner! Having one at the very beginning gave me strength so many times when I was at my wits end.

CHELLE: A prayer partner is essential, but a woman also has to get to that place of being willing to open up to others. Oftentimes, women don’t want to share what’s going on in their private lives, choosing instead to pretend all is well. What do you suggest for them?

TANYA: I understand people wanting to be private, however sharing with someone your struggles or issues just might reveal you are not alone. In this, you have someone who would pray for you and offer encouragement when you need.

CHELLE: What words of advice do you have for women who have been married a while, but they are not experiencing the best their marriage can be?

TANYA: The same thing, get a prayer partner. I honestly know that I would not still be married if it was not for that.

CHELLE: You are also an advocate for Embracing Life. Can you share more about that?

TANYA: When I found out I was going bald I could not accept it. I was in denial and it stressed me out. I cried a lot and was ashamed. It took me three years to accept it and embrace it. Once I did that, the doors opened for me to help other women. I want other women to learn to embrace their current situation so they can use it to help others.

CHELLE: What led you to starting Forever Free Books?

TANYA: I worked with first graders and only three babies in my class owned books. I held a book drive to get 25 books and I received over 300. I decided to be a vessel for children in need of books. I asked my husband what he thought about me starting a nonprofit and he said, “Go for it.”

CHELLE: Is that a local program in the DC area or has it grown outside of there?

TANYA: We are still local to the DC area however; we have sent books as far as an orphanage in India. We shipped books to California, Detroit and Georgia.

CHELLE: Ahh! Here in my home state of Georgia. What words of advice do you have for other women looking to start similar programs?

TANYA: Join groups that support nonprofits and learn all you can. Also, they should be prepared to work hard no matter if it seems like people don’t understand what you are doing.

CHELLE: What are your personal goals and dreams for your life?

TANYA: My personal goals include, speaking around the world to women about being an empowered yet supportive wife. I am determined to get the real wife movement international. I also see my book becoming a movie since there is comedy mixed in with serious moments. I feel that it will give people hope and will change one family at a time. I also want to have the income I need for my husband to come off his job and to pursue his dreams.

CHELLE: Amen! I’m in agreement with that, Tanya. What one person has been your greatest supporter on your journey to realizing your dream?

TANYA: I often thought of my deceased grandparents to include my grandfather, Joseph Walker, who died right before my book was printed. They endured so much racism and degrading things because of the color of their skin and I decided in my mind that I was going to be successful in honor of them. Their memory was what kept me going. My husband was my biggest supporter. He always pushes me to work harder or to follow through.

CHELLE: That’s a blessing. I know exactly what that’s like to have your husband in your corner, pushing you along the way. Describe your idea of the perfect “me-time.”

TANYA: A day at the Spa. I take a book and get the works.

CHELLE: What words do you have for those who are seeking a closer relationship with the Lord, but appear to be burdened with the cares of this world?

TANYA: Find a church that truly teaches God’s word. I go to a non-denominational church and I find that they have the freedom to teach as God leads them. Also, having spirit-led people as friends helps because they will hold you accountable.

CHELLE: Kobe or LeBron?

TANYA: Both are great, but I would choose Michael Jordan. He did not allow his life circumstance. He could have quit when he didn’t make his school’s varsity team. He turned it around and used that experience for motivation, and the rest is history.

CHELLE: LOL!!! I loved him, too. Now that Kobe (my personal favorite) has retired, I have to find two new current basketball players to replace in that question.

We live life beautifully inspired here, at The Beautifully Inspired Blog. Leave us with an inspirational post, comprised of three words.

TANYA: Live, Love, Give

Wild Whispers - A Tender Novella

~ Flirty & Feisty Romance Novel ~

Scarred but not broken, beautiful Adaora Dike made a tough choice early in life and she had no regret until she lost everyone and everything without warning. She finds comfort in a quiet home in the woods, deep in Dagor Village. Out there, Adaora discovers nature and animals do not condemn, only people do. One rainy night, a male shadow dashes across her yard, her heart flips over and she faces emotional chaos.

While on a field trip in Africa, handsome photographer, Gary Mason gets stranded in the woods. He finds an abandoned shelter occupied by a lonely but lovely woman he cannot not get out of his head. This is one photography shoot he wants to forget, but Adaora has a firm grip on his heart and might change his life forever.

Through many Wild Whispers, will Adaora and Gary change each other or will fate intervene to keep them apart?

Wild Whispers - Snippet

The noise grew louder as Adaora threw the kitchen door open and stuck out her head. A ladder rested against her roof.

“Who’s up on my roof?” she shouted as she tried to recall if she had asked the carpenter to come in this Saturday morning.

There was no reply, only more banging instead. So, she walked a few paces from the house to see who was on her rooftop.

At the sight of the man mending her roof, she coughed, almost choking on her saliva. And her heartbeat tripped, as she nearly fell over.

“Good morning, angel. Did I wake you up?”

Gary was mending her leaking roof. “Oh my God!”

A Snippet Into Tanya's World...

It's a wonderful #writerwednesday and today we're getting a small sample of what's to come on Friday. Tanya Barnett is an inspirational woman, wife, and mother doing amazing things!

Married women how many times do you wish someone understood the problems between you and your spouse? How many times do you wish someone had given you guidance before you said, "I do?"

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say this, but there are times when I have had regrets. There are things I've said or done that I wish I could take back. The reality of it is that's not going to happen.

What we can do is inform and educate the women coming up behind us. Those that desire to be married, but haven't been. We can share our life lessons to encourage and heal another generation of women. I believe that's exactly what's going to happen with Tanya Barnett's upcoming release.

As she prepares for the launch of her new novel, "Being A Wife Just Got Real," she's sharing a short snippet with us today.

"I did not mean to get caught up in an emotional affair with another man, but it happened. I am extremely thankful that this opened up meaningful dialogue between us. Some of those conversations were heated and painful but very necessary."

Join us Friday for the one-on-one interview with Tanya about the reality she faced as a wife, and overcoming the challenges.

This week The Beautifully Inspired Blog is switching things up a bit with the schedule so check it out:

TODAY: Tyrone's out of town on vacation in Florida. He'll be back next Tuesday. So I'm stepping in.

WEDNESDAY: New author and speaker, Tanya Barnett will be here Wednesday sharing her new release and links.

THURSDAY: Our friend Stella Eromonsere-Anajanku will return to share her new release, "Wild Whispers."

FRIDAY: Tanya Barnett returns to let us get up close and personal in a one-on-one interview about her journey to becoming published and the realities of being a wife.

I've been discussing this poem for a little while and today, I'm going to share my poem entitled "Sweet." There's so much behind that one simple word. Watch the video to get the full effect of attitude. ;)

SWEET:

I see ya, mean girl! What's wrong with you? That meanness cascades off you like the waters of Niagara Falls.

What's wrong with you? Your meanness is worse than the sting of a scorpion Are you puttin' me on? What's underneath all that attitude? Cuz you ain't got one ounce of gratitude.

Is it the guile of your lips, or the sway of your hips that makes you think you have so much power? Te way you be cuttin' them eyes, and twistin' them lies, makes all your love oh so sour!

Your words fly out your mouth like a swarm of vultures! Eatin' up everything in sight. Destroying the good, picking over what's dead, those things you need to speak life to, but you won't. Instead. You prey. You hunt. You tease any and everything you please!

Is it the roll of your eyes, the clap of your thighs, or the pain of your lies?

Is it the cloud of your thoughts, the trickery you taught, or the wrath that you brought?

I got you, mean girl! What's wrong? All up inside of me, taking over the very heart of me.

I want the world to know the real me, because over me...you have no authority!

There's only One who can save you. One who can carry you. One who can handle you.

His love is so deep, it has the power to make you weep. It's strong when you're weak.

Try Him out one time. He's guaranteed to change your mind. His love is oh_so_sublime!

Hey, mean girl! I saw you just the other day. On your knees, head high, arms upraised, was that you who was beginning to pray?

I saw the tears fall from your eyes, I heard you apologize, your thought turned to the skies.

I heard the words you spoke, soothing, calming, reassuring, life-giving, hope-invoking, peace-providing! You repent of your lies, cast aside your pride, and in Him you will be abide.

Say, mean girl! Was that you so contrite, so polite, and humble in all your ways, seeking a Savior's face?

Hey, mean girl! Hey, mean girl! I said, Hey! Mean girl! I thought you should know...Your sweet is starting to show.

Fab Friday Features: K. K. Harris...

Picture
Hi Lovely Ones,

It's another Fab Friday and we're featuring K. K. Harris again. Today, we're getting to know the woman behind those phenomenal Crown Royal on Ice Chronicles! I don't know about you, but she definitely grabbed my attention on last week with that awesome excerpt!
CHELLE: Drama or inspiration, which would you say characterizes your main character in this latest body of work?

K.K.: Inspiration definitely… In this book, the main character is put into couple’s lives to help them see the bigger picture, why they fell in love in the first place.

CHELLE: What has changed in your life since you were last with us?

K.K.: I separated the author, the blogger, mentor, formatter, and the cover designer. All are titles that I hold; I have decided to work on those projects one at a time. In my mind, that was the only way to get organized.

CHELLE: I need to learn from you. Talk to us about your current release "Crown Royal on Ice Chronicles."

K.K.: Crown Royal on Ice, is a series that I started simply to highlight some of the common causes for the lack of intimacy in a marriage. Intimacy plays a major part in a relationship and I’m not just talking about sex. There are so many other aspects to being intimate with one another and in this book; I plan to push the envelope a little bit. Of course, sex is also in the series but it wasn’t the main focus. Instead, it turned out to be one of the things the couples complained was missing.

CHELLE: What inspired you to create Crown Royal on Ice Chronicles?

K.K.: Life and that’s about the gist of it. I know many couples who crash, crumble, and fold under the pressures that come along with marriage.

CHELLE: What is your primary message you want readers to take away from this work?

K.K.: Not all problems can be solved, some issues are greater than others are but if both parties involved are on the same accord, it is possible to overcome the bad days.

CHELLE: What tips do you have for upcoming authors about organizing your family life around your writing routine?

K.K.: Do what’s best for you. I have been at this for a few years now and it’s not easy. If the desire is there and your determination is firm, you will make it work.

CHELLE: Well said and it's definitely worth the work. If your life were a novel, what would be the title and what movie title would it closely resemble?

K.K.: Off the top of my head, I would have to say ‘Better Left Untold.’ Honestly, any movie that involves a kid that felt unwanted and making one terrible decision after the next will basically sum up my past story.

CHELLE: Wow! That's heartbreaking, K.K. I believe sometimes we experience the trials in life that we do to share our testimony with others for encouragement. It definitely builds us stronger if we don't allow it to break us. Perhaps, you will tell your story one day and it will help someone heal, especially from the younger generation. That's all they need sometimes is to be inspired by someone else's life story and know that there's hope. On another note what was the last song you listened to on your playlist?

K.K.: Touch A Four Leaf Clover by Atlantic Starr

CHELLE: Hmmm...I have to listen to that, I'm not familiar with it. Share a little known fact about Kanika?

K.K.: I am a scatterbrain. Too many ideas will send me on a rampage. (Honesty is the best policy)

CHELLE: I want to break out singing Michael Jackson's "You Are Not Alone." LOL!!! Tyler Perry or Oprah Winfrey? Which would you like to meet and why?

K.K.: Tyler Perry because I have an idea for a television series but I’m sure it would be too real. It touches on some real life; we need to fix our community topics.

CHELLE: What influential writer in your genre do you most admire and why?

K.K.: Sylvia Hubbard is one of my favorites. She is a single mother handling her business on all sides. Since I used to be one, I know the struggle to make it happen. She accomplished quite a bit on her own in literary market.

CHELLE: If we were to look at your current Kindle or reading device lineup, what titles would we find?

K.K.:  Too many too name but every book of EJ Brock’s, every book from Sylvia Hubbard, my own work (tell me I’m not the only one that likes to read my own stuff), and some of Brenda Jackson’s old work. (just to name a few)

CHELLE: There again it's time for me to start singing MJ's song. LOL!!! No, you aren't alone. I do have my books on my Kindle, but I seldom go back to read them. That's only  because after all the rounds of writing and edits, I'm tired of looking at them and I need something fresh. Back to you though. Complete this sentence: The biggest mistake new writers make is___________________.

K.K.: Following the trend… It’s alright to think outside the box.

CHELLE: I agree. And better than that it's great to realize there isn't a box. Throw the danged thing in the trash! How much if any of your real life, or those you know are reflected in your books?

K.K.: Too much (that’s all I can say on the grounds that it may incriminate me, LOL.)

CHELLE: We live life beautifully inspired here, at The Beautifully Inspired Blog. Leave us with an inspirational post, comprised of three words.

K.K.:  CELEBRATE YOUR VOICE

CHELLE: You heard the woman! I love that...celebrate your voice. Authors, poets, painters, singers, musicians, whatever your individual calling use your talents and gifts to express your individuality and embrace it!

Sharing A Little Bit Of Saturday...

Hi Sunshine,

It's a wonderful Wednesday and you know what that means. Yep, it's a#writerwednesday.

Last week I shared with you that I was preparing for the upcoming women's conference at my church.

Well I spent Friday through Sunday at church. When I tell you we had an A-Mazing time!!! Those women were on fire for God, and He showed up and showed out.

With the encouragement of my husband, the ladies in my play, and my First Lady, Elder Synetra Leaphart I found the courage to stand in front of those women and read my poem, "Sweet."

I will share it here really soon, so stay tuned.

I was so proud of the women performing in my play. We were only able to hold four rehearsals. And my readers, you know when I write I write a lot.

They practiced and I told them to rely on Holy Spirit for the rest. They did that!

Today, I will share a few pictures taken before the play begin. It was a last minute rehearsal.

Picture
This beautiful lady is Ms. Denise Anderson. She's one of my Page Riders, a group I have on Facebook for readers of my books. I was so blessed to meet her in person for the first time. What a blessing that she chose to spend part of her day with me at my church. <3
Picture
Ms. Barbara enjoying her morning cup of coffee and preparing to take on the role ahead of her.
Picture
Mrs. B in all of her diva glory!
Picture
She has completely transformed into Depressed Debra. This diva even knows how to rock a mumu! Go on' Mrs. Barbara! Oops, I meant Debra. ;)
Picture
Mrs. C-C is our resident prayer warrior. She kept me on point when I questioned everything. She is an awesome woman of God!
Picture
C-C is stepping out of Fear and letting her name be changed to Faith!
Ms. Bettye takes a moment to relax, relate, and release before the stage lights call her name.

Afterwards she begins to embrace the character of Guilty Gail.
Picture
Tameka took on the stressful role of Stressed Stephanie, and she owned her part! She represented all of the members of the "Black Women Looking Good Board!" Can I get 3 snaps? I love this woman to life!
Picture
Sherante stepped into her role, owned it, lived it, and breathed life into it.
Picture
This diva was Low Self-Esteem Sally. She emerged a beautiful, talented butterfly. <3
Picture
This gorgeous soul who took over the women's conference on Saturday by her mere presence, is none other than my beautiful grandmother. Love you! XOXOXO

Today's Fab Friday features K.K. Harris once again. She's back in the spotlight bringing a heated, feisty little excerpt from her latest release.

****EXCERPT**** CROWN ROYAL ON ICE

“Hello?”

“Hey honey, how was your day?” I decided to beat around the bush. What good would it be to rush right into it?

“Still going actually, what do you need?”

“What I need is you actually?” I said with a creased brow, the abrupt question caught me off guard.

“Is that so? I’m in the middle of a conference call right now. Can I call you back?”

“A conference call?” I was truly stunned that he would lie like that considering I am following him at the moment.

“Yes, I am assuming that’s why you called my cell. I’m going to have to call you back. Give me a few, alright? Love you.”

“…” I didn’t get to answer him because he hung up. Considering that I was still following his car, I decided to keep going to see just where he was going.

After a good stent on the highway, several other twists and turns he pulled into a driveway of a nice little bungalow style cottage. The urgency in his steps was astonishing as he exited the vehicle and practically ran to the door. Before I could be detected, I had shut off my lights and parked close enough to see who would answer. Instead of ringing the doorbell or knocking, he let himself inside as if he lived there. Although it was extremely risky and borderline stalker style, I exited the car before I could talk myself out of it.

Securing the sash to the raincoat I wore, I tiptoed across the street and up the long drive way. The quiet suburban neighborhood was sure to have a neighborhood watch and I was hoping like hell they weren’t watching me creep around this unknown person’s house. The closer I got to the rear of the house, the more anxious I became. What if someone hears me? What if someone spots me? How will I explain any of this to the police? The curiosity in me wouldn’t let me turn away, I had to see what my husband was up to.

The reason he lied about being on a conference call, I needed to know. There were too many loopholes in his many tales and tonight I planned to get answers. The window near the end of the driveway had to belong to the dining room or kitchen. Ducking down so as whoever was inside wouldn’t see me until I was prepared for them too, I leaned against the house and counted to three. Nothing in the world could have prepared me for what I would witness.

On the table, with the curtains drawn not giving a damn who saw was my husband of three years pumping into another woman. Not just any woman, Dr. Romirez lulled her head back allowing all the hard thrusts he had to deliver. They were in such a hurry that they were basically fully clothed except for the most intimate parts. Hard and fast was how he was giving it to her. Too stunned to move, I stood and watched my marriage go down the drain.

“Freeze!” I heard a loud voice boom. “Hands in the air,” he further stated.

“…” Doing exactly what the officer said I assumed the position.

“What the hell do you think you are doing? Creeping around people’s houses in the dark,” he
questioned after putting me in cuffs.  Calling for backup and a female officer, he waited. “What kind of peeping Tom shit is this? You are outside half dressed, for what?”

“I followed my husband here if you must know.”

“Your husband and where is this so called husband?” From his tone, it was clear he didn’t believe me.

“Yes my husband, who is now inside fucking our marriage counselor?” Something I said must have shocked him speechless because he stiffened up instantly.

“What did you just say?”

“I said he is,” I didn’t get to finish my statement before another car rolled to a stop and other officers exited the car.

“Romirez, what do we have here?” The other officer asked approaching the rear of the squad car. In my mind, I am thinking surely this isn’t who I think it is. There is no way that the officer that apprehended me could belong to the woman who was inside committing adultery with my husband.

“This is too rich, Romirez? You wouldn’t happen to be married to a Dr. Romirez would you?”

“What’s going on here?” The same officer questioned. The heavy panting coming from the man next to me was starting to scare me. Especially since he now has his firearm drawn, nothing good can come from this. Just then, the front door opened revealing a disheveled looking man who appeared to be adjusting his suit. At the sight of lights, he stopped all movement to stare in wonderment.

“You mind telling me, what you are doing in my house?” The officer now known as Romirez asked aloud. By now, the neighbors had begun to assemble on their lawns.

“Uhh…”

“Yes Harold, please tell them why you were inside of this man’s house?”

“Joycelynn, what the hell are you doing here?”

“I could ask you the same thing but seeing as though I have already witnessed your session through the dining room window, there isn’t much need for a reply.”

“You, zip it!”

“…” The black woman in me wanted to roll my neck and snap my fingers but since he was holding a firearm, I thought better of it.

“Harold is it? If you would be so kind as to give a little tap to the door and have Dr. Romirez to step out onto the porch.” Harold raised his hands in the air as officer Romirez waved his gun about in a carefree manner. Finally, he issued a little tap that even a bird couldn’t hear. “LOUDER!”

“WHA…Oh honey, what are… I can explain!” Officer Romirez was now pointing the gun at the porch; there was no telling whom he was aiming for.

“Whoa, Romirez calm down. You don’t want to do this.”

“You had better get to packing, screw explaining. In fact, you have sixty seconds flat to get off my property. THE BOTH OF YOU,” he shouted. Harold didn’t waste a second in scooting to his car, never taking his eyes off the officer with the weapon. “Why are you still standing there, you probably should catch a ride?”

“But… My purse is inside. We can…”

“I did not stutter, get off of my porch, and expect divorce papers real soon. Your stuff will be shipped to your mother’s place and be happy I am being that generous.” Pulling the hammer back on the gun, the woman wasted no more time in trying to grab what she could from inside the doorway. Leaping off of the porch, she made a beeline to the rear of the house. He didn’t lower his gun until she was pulling out of the driveway right after Harold’s no good tail.

“What should we do with this one?”

“I believe Joycelynn and I have some things to discuss.” Romirez said while gaging my reaction to his statement.

“Uh, sure.”

“If you are certain…”

“I’m fine, nothing is going to happen. Unless she would like a citation for being a peeping Tom.”

“No thank you,” I offered sighing in relief as the cuffs were removed. Although he still seemed livid, he was speaking in a calm fashion. When everyone left and the neighbors finally realized there was nothing more to see, they went to their respectable homes.

Leaning up against the cruiser, neither of us said a thing. The silence was welcomed because there were so many raging thoughts flowing through both of the tattered minds. One thing was for sure; Harold had better either pack his stuff or call the cops to meet him at our place before I get there. All hell is going to break loose, if not.

“How could I have been so stupid?”

“…”

“I apologize for trespassing on your property. I followed him here when I went to surprise him at his office. Hence, the reason I am dressed like this. He lied as natural as it was to breathe and told me he was still at the office. I was already behind him. Curiosity got the best of me, I guess.”

“…”

“Maybe I should have asked some of your fellow officers to meet me at my home to be sure I behave.”

“How long has my wife been your marriage counselor?”

“Three months, I guess it doesn’t work.” I tried my hand at a joke and he chuckled dryly.

“Go figure,” he looked at me and for the first time I got a good look at him. He was a very handsome man of some sort of Spanish lineage. His features were very exotic and his build was to die for. ‘What the hell was that lunatic thinking to cheat on such a man?’

“He was a fool, you know?”

“Who Harold? That he is because that was the last straw. I’m done.”

“I don’t even know how long she has been carrying on like this and honestly, I don’t care.”

“Unfortunately, this isn’t his first time cheating but it’s the first time I have caught him red-handed.”

“Damn, I’m sorry to hear that.”

“I have a great divorce attorney if you decide to go that route.”

“Thank you but my sister is an attorney and she didn’t like my wife.”

“Oh, well that should be interesting.”

“Definitely,” he said sadly. “Maybe you shouldn’t go home tonight. Is there any chance he would become violent?”

“Him, hell no. Me on the other hand, you just never know.”

“I know this is the scene of the crime but you are welcome to stay here if you need to.”

“No thank you, that wouldn’t be appropriate. No telling how angry I may get all over again.”

“I can understand that but I may be asking because I need your assistance more than you need mine.”

He said. “Seeing as though I did save you from a ride to the station, I mean you did break the law.”

“Are you trying to blackmail me officer Romirez? Shame on it all,” I mocked.

“Is it working?”

“…” Every nerve in my body was saying ‘hell yes’ and even my brain was on cue saying ‘what the hell.’

“Fine but you better have something to drink. And it better be on the strong side, I need it.”

“You and me both,” he gestured for me to follow his lead.

A New Thing Springs Forth...

Hi everyone,

It's another #writerwednesday and today I'm sharing what's going on in my corner of the world. I have fallen behind on deadlines and I'm not too happy about that. But...I haven't been slacking off, I've been doing a lot of things, all of which I'm excited about.

I have written another play for my church, which interestingly enough will be performed before the original play I wrote for the church. It's turning out that this play is the prelude to the first one both with similar, powerful messages. They are both geared to the heart of the woman and who we are as women and our impact on our families and the world at large.

The ladies and I have been meeting weekly to practice for the upcoming women's conference and it's been such a blessing. I'm believing the Lord will do a wonderful work through these women and in this play and I'm excited about seeing it come to fruition. I also will be sharing a poem for the first time that I have written entitled "Sweet."

The play that we're about to perform is "Broken Woman, Merciful Grace." My first lady shared with me that she wanted healing among women. We often walk around with our masks on depicting this image to society of who we want to be perceived as. Unfortunately, we fail to deal with our real issues and it prevents us as women from connecting on a deeper level.

I have also been working on a devotional with LiyahAmore Publishing. This particular project definitely has me in an arena that's new to me. I will say that it's growing and shaping me in ways that I did not see before. But we know that His plans are not ours, so I'm following the way He leads me to see what the end will be. I'm enjoying what He's doing and I must admit I'm a bit nervous as well.

I'm still working on my other projects: preparing to release the final book in The House of BeJeweled series to the public; finishing "A Woman's Redemption," which is the sequel to A Woman's Afflictions (which isn't released); and still blogging here, at LiyahAmore Publishing, and AmoreSpeaks.

None of this touches on my role as a wife, mother, career woman, and so forth. But our Heavenly Father is doing new things in the writing arena for me and I'm tackling a lot of firsts as you can see. Out of the confusion I once lived in, He is bringing light and clarity to my path. I will obediently follow.

"See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." Isaiah 43:19

It's all about pursuing our dreams. I tell you again and again we get this one shot. We've got to make the most out of the gifts and talents He places on our lives. We aren't to hide them away and shy away from the world. Instead, we're supposed to do just the opposite: "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden." Matthew 5:14. Our gifts and talents are to be used to glorify Him, and inspire others to live their best lives. I pray that I can do that in the simplest ways.

If we are faithful to do what we are called to do then He offers us a promise. "A man’s gift [given in love or courtesy] makes room for him. And brings him before great men." Proverbs 18:16 AMP

What's going on in your writing world/dream world? Are you allowing your gifts to make room for you?

Ty Kicks It With Kianna...

Heyyyy! It's me and I'm back with Drama, with a capital D! Yes, baby...today your best gossip buddy, Ty, will be dishing with Kianna. I know y'all been waiting for this one. Since she's coming back for book 4 I want to see what she's been up to and what she's got planned. Don't you? Well sit back and get ready, boo!

TYRONE: Hey, girlfriend! It's been a long time. How's my second favorite diva?

KIANNA: Tyrone, gon' with that. I know you've been hating on me since I've been gone.

TYRONE: Uh-uh, boo. Don't come up in here with that. Before we sat down to do this little chat, we agreed to put our messy ways behind us. I know I talked about you behind your back, but you ain't been no angel either. Oops, pun intended. (Rolls his eyes). Anyhoo, we're gonna move on from all that. We're gonna start this ovah! How've you been diva?

KIANNA: I'm good, Ty. I'm reeeaal good! Business is popping and I've moved on from hater-ation.

TYRONE: Okay. I see you. So, let's take it back before we move way forward. How did you and Black get involved?

KIANNA: I can't tell you that. It's all in book 4. I can tell you it was damned good while it lasted. And it was going harder and stronger than anybody could've imagined before Angel found out.

TYRONE: So, did it go downhill after she found out? And what happened with that whole bedroom scene? How'd she find out where you lived?

KIANNA: First of all, no it didn't go downhill. At least not right away. For a while there Black did everything I wanted him to do and he was at my beck and call. It didn't matter that Angel got him fired, he was still rolling in the dough. See his side business is quite lucrative and he's got a knack for being a gifted businessman. Yeah...he can roll with the best of 'em in the streets. But then after that whole news media exchange everything got jacked up. I mean, one minute he's got my back while I'm deciding to suit Olivia and Angel. Then when that Christina chick got involved from All About Atlanta, he started hanging out more, not coming home at nights...

TYRONE: All the stuff he'd been doing to Angel?

KIANNA: (Rolls her eyes and sucks her teeth). Yeah, something like that. Cept, I got the good-good so I know he wasn't trying to play me. I know he wasn't getting loving from nobody but me.

TYRONE: But I heard he had another baby on the way.

KIANNA: See, y'all be getting too caught up in the rumors, Ty. I told you 'bout that. Everything is not what it seems. Anyway, that day Angel came creeping up in my house like some sneaky stalker...she got what she deserved! You know what they say, you go looking for trouble you gon' find it.

TYRONE: But you ain't have no business messing with no married man.

KIANNA: And that married man had no business messing with me. Better yet, he had no business being married to her in the first place.

TYRONE: Whaattt! What's that supposed to mean, girlfriend. Do tell because inquiring minds wants to know, honey.

KIANNA: Mm-mm. You gon' have to wait for book 4 like everybody else.

Picture
TYRONE: I'm 'bout tired of everybody talking about wait for book 4. Okay, so take us back to that day.

KIANNA: Look my man was loving this body like a good man should. He was handling all these curves and taking me there. You know, I mean he was really taking me there and dipping me, flipping me, and all up inside of me! I was on the ride of my life when she came in. He was filling me up and holding nothing back! I mean baby boy, was mmmm-

TYRONE: Okay! Okay! Okay! Enough already. This is a PG blog, girlfriend in case you didn't know.

KIANNA: Hmph! I can't tell. Sometimes the stuff Chelle showcases on here makes Victoria's Secret blush. All I'm saying is he was good that night and I was only on my second one. I was waiting for him to give me a third...

TYRONE: Don't make me have to tell you again.

KIANNA: Well, you said you wanted me to take you back to that bedroom scene. Honey, you've been asking Black what happened and Angel. They didn't want to talk about it. Now that I'm ready to give you take by take, slip by slide, and thrust by thrust, you can't handle it Tyrone. Or is it that your imagination is taking you too far into the scene. (She laughs) Naughty little boy, you!

TYRONE: Whateva! Freak! Look, I have a couple of questions from some readers I need to ask you, heffa.

KIANNA: (She licks her bottom lip, and crosses and uncrosses her legs a couple of times). Bring it on. I can handle anything they're playing with.

TYRONE: Okay the first one is "Did you really want Black or did you just hate Angel that much?"

KIANNA: Really? Who asked me that dumb ass question? What do you think?

TYRONE: Uh-uh, girlfriend. Don't come up on here trying to front on my readers. I want to know the same thang, cuz diva I couldn't tell myself. Answer the question please.

KIANNA: Let's see, I had no reason to hate on Angel cuz she came from nothing and wasn't going nowhere. I came from money and still have it. She hadn't done nothing and she thought she was cute, but in reality she wasn't all that. She couldn't do hair as well as I could. She didn't have as many clients as I did, so tell me again why was I supposed to hate her?

TYRONE: You can start with the fact you were sleeping with her man. Kianna, you can really be trifling at times.

KIANNA: (Laughs) Whatever! Was he really her man to begin with?

TYRONE: Alright, diva. Drop it. What's with the sly remarks.

KIANNA: (She holds up 4 fingers). Book 4. You'll get your answers. But to answer your reader's question, the answer is N.O. I didn't hate Angel. She wasn't worth all that to me. She was just a casualty of war.

TYRONE: See, that's the stuff I'm talking about. I gots to know what you mean, girl!

KIANNA: I'm not saying another word. What's the other question?

TYRONE: Okay, "Have you ever heard the saying what he does with you, he'll do to you?"

KIANNA: Honey, please...you have not a clue. I don't really care like that if you hadn't noticed. And if you thought I did, baby the trick's on you.

TYRONE: Kianna, you're too hot for your pants. A hot damned mess! Did you have any regrets? And what can we expect from you in book 4?

KIANNA: I regrets nothing I do. I'm not a fool in case you didn't know. But maybe you don't. Anyway you'll learn more in book 4. You can expect me to bring even more drama in book 4 than I did in book 1. Honey, I don't know if you'll be ready for what I bring. As a matter-of-fact, when I'm done, I don't know if the house will still be standing.

TYRONE: You know Black said something similar to that a couple of weeks ago. I'm not feeling these threats y'all bringing. If you know something you need to fess up, baby doll.

KIANNA: Just sit back and prepare to get your minds blown and your world rocked. (Winks an eye). I'm out, Ty. (Hops out of her chair and leaves the room).

TYRONE: Well, okay then. She ain't changed as y'all can see. She's the same trifling Kianna if not more so. She's gone folks. And with that said, I'm out of here, too. I've got some dollars to clock and if you need yo' 'do did, check me out at the downtown salon: The House of BeJeweled.

Today's #tbt post comes from Wednesday, May 29, 2013 from my old blog. It's one of those things that just makes you say "Where they do that at?" Read on to see what I'm talking about...

It's been a moment since I have written a Wednesday Random Ramblings post. But this morning I had the unfortunate opportunity to see a bit of news that had me shaking my head and asking "Really? So is this how it all ends?"

Weddings are supposed to be blissful, romantic, a celebration of two lives coming together as one, an agreement with God and your significant other that the "two shall become one." The reception is party time, where everyone gets their dance on, most people get their drink on, and some party folks even get their flirt on, and hook up with their new boo. After all...this is a romantic event right? There has been a time or two where I've even heard about people getting their fight on at the celebration...possibly a result of getting their drink on. But the bride and groom?

This morning Atlanta's Fox 5 News reported about the arrest of a man who decided that he would beat his bride up after the reception. I don't know about you but where I come from you're supposed to be consummating the marriage after the reception, not beating her down. However, this groom decided the way to seal their nuptials would be to drag her by her hair, punch her in the face, bite her, and then pull out her weave! Who does this? And if it isn't already bad enough? On his mug shot he's smirking and laughing!

If this isn't a sign that she needs to run for the hills I don't know what would be. Your wedding day should be one of the best days of your life and I can only imagine this poor woman's devastation, and humiliation because of his ignorance and the evil within. When a relationship gets to this level it's best to get out before you have lost all self-respect, self-esteem, belief in yourself, and possibly even your life. I just don't get it...there is nothing that she could have done that would have been worth all this. I don't care if she did the most horrific thing in the world, walk away...annul the marriage. But to beat the woman? It's inexcusable and my prayer is that she is getting out of the marriage, and will not tolerate anyone treating her like this.

On the other hand my mind cannot help but wonder is this the first time? I only say that because for him to get so out of hand and in a public place, he had to be confident he could pull that off on her. I cannot imagine that he went from a loving, attentive partner to an abusive, irate spouse all in one day. He had to have shown some violent tendencies before, whether it was through physical means or emotional abuse. I just find it challenging to see the leap in personality. And if I am correct in my assumptions then the marriage never should have taken place at all. But hopefully this will be an eye opener and she will leave all her baggage behind at the Clarke County Jail, and move forward with a better life without him. Sometimes people come to a point in their lives where they must end the marriage. The circumstances may vary as well as the length of the marriage. However, no one dreams on their wedding day they will be wondering, so is this how it all ends?

Angel's Heart: Still In Love...

5/4/2016

Today's #writerwednesday brings us another excerpt from the BeJeweled series. Alex had come to rescue Angel's broken heart in book one, after her divorce from Black. He was a strong friend, showing her that she was beautiful, desired, and loved once again. More than willing to be patient with her, Alex stood on the sidelines helping to mend her broken heart.

Now he seems to be in competition with her heart once more. He wonders what she really desires, and what she dreams of.

Here's a sneak peek at BeJeweled: Standing Strong, book four in the series.

***********************************************************************

He set the bowl of avocado and watercress salad on the patio table and went back to grab a couple of plates. After he finished dishing the salad on them, she placed their grilled pork chops, lemons and onions on the plate.

Holding hands she led them in a quick prayer to bless their meal.

“You’re awfully quiet tonight,” she observed when they were halfway through their meal.

He shook his head and smirked. “I just don’t get you.”

“What’s there to get?”

“We were getting so close and doing well in our relationship. I respected your right to keep our relationship platonic until after your divorce. Then for the first six months after the divorce we were good friends. After that we decided to try dating and things have been cool since. I thought we were getting serious. But all of a sudden this situation arises and while I respect the situation for what it is, it seems like there’s no place for me anymore. I’ve been your strength through everything he took you through. I understand you have love and care for this man for who he was and is in your life. But I’m the one you’re supposed to run to, and now it feels like I’m being pushed to the back burner,” Alex explained patiently.

Angel took a sip of water before addressing his concerns. “No, Alex. I am not trying to push you away and I’m sorry if you feel that way. It’s just these last few days have been hectic. Every free moment I have is spent with TJ, you know that,” she rebutted.

“Yeah, but you have no time to talk to me. I call you and you tell me you’ll call me back and never do. I can’t even kick it with you and TJ…not anymore.”

“Look, TJ’s confused about why his dad didn’t come and pick him up. He hasn’t seen him or spoken to him in a few days. That’s not usual for him and it’s hard, especially when they usually talk every other day. I’m just trying to make him my sole focus when I spend time with him, so he won’t miss his dad so much. He’s too young to understand what’s going on.”

“You’re fooling yourself, Angel. There’s no way that little boy won’t miss his father, I don’t care how much time you spend with him. There’s no way you can make up for what he gets from Black. I’ve told you that in the beginning. I guess one day you’ll finally figure it out.”

“You know what? I’m sorry you don’t understand but it is what it is at the moment, Alex. I would hope you could support me on this. If not, I don’t know what to tell you.” Angel picked up their empty dishes and took them to the sink.

He followed her inside with the empty serving platters and placed them in the sink. Alex pulled Angel into his arms.

“I want to understand, but I need you to help me. I also need you to understand where I’m coming from, too,” he stated as he tried to kiss her. She turned her head away at the last minute and pulled from his embrace walking to the sink.

“I’ve just got a lot on my mind right now, Alex. I need some time. Just let me have a little breathing room, okay?” she asked, rinsing their plates preparing to put them in the dishwasher.

“This is bullshit, Angel! And you know it!” he argued, fire flashing in his green eyes.

“What is, Alex? The fact I’m just asking for a little time?” Angel pressed. She stepped away from the dishwasher and faced him.

“No. The fact you want me to sit around waiting on you. I’m supposed to be on hold while you sort out your feelings for your ex-husband. I get that you want the best for him and you care about him. I get that him being shot was major, but what I won’t get is why you feel the need to lie to me,” Alex declared.

“I’m not lying to you about anything,” Angel argued.

“Well, if not to me, then to yourself. Figure out what you want to do, Angel. I’ve got a life to live!” Alex stalked out the kitchen, grabbed his keys off the table near the front door and left the little apartment, slamming the door behind him.

Heyyy, Divas! It's a Terrific Tuesday with none other than Tyrone! I know there's no place you'd rather be today than here with me. So, let's get on with the business. Last week I interviewed Black and that didn't go as planned. I don't know what he thought! But, baby, if you deal in drama and scandal you better come on here prepared to be dished on! I know this ain't the Wendy Williams show, but baby, why not. Ms. O came in here like the blood of Jesus and covered that po' boy's soul! Cuz I swear I was gonna light him up.

Anyhoo, Angel's here today and she's under the gun. So, let's get on with our interview, because I know you want to hear from her.

TYRONE: Welcome, baby doll! It's so good to see you! You're looking mah'valous dahlin! (He exchanges air kisses with Angel).

ANGEL: (Laughs) Tyrone, you're too much. You're looking good yourself in that silk V-neck sweater. It's so metro!

TYRONE: Of course, what else would it be? Honey, I got this old thing last spring. It makes my physique look svelte and brings out my eyes. Anyhoo, enough about me and all my fabulousness. Tell us what's been going on with you?

ANGEL: Whew!! Where do I start. Well, after the entire situation between me and Black in book one, which led to our divorce I had to find a way to pick up the pieces again. Soooo, I began focusing on what TJ needed and what I needed to--"

TYRONE: Uh-uh, boo. Let's back up. So, you and Black were married and you obviously had marital issues. Right?

ANGEL: Yes.

TYRONE: And you suspected him of cheating on you again, but you didn't know he was playing with fire so close to home. Tell us, Angel...what was it like when you walked up into Kianna's house and saw her and Black in bed together. Ohh child!

ANGEL: I was devastated, Tyrone. I mean to be honest when I first drove over there and followed her, I had no idea what I would find. But for some reason something kept telling me to follow her and I couldn't ignore that inner voice. Even after speaking with her neighbor and seeing his car, I still had hopes that it wasn't what I was thinking.

But when I walked into that room...(she blows a breath and fans her eyes as she tears up).

TYRONE: It's okay, baby girl, take your time. (Tyrone hands her a tissue and a cup of water).

ANGEL: (sips water and dabs eyes for a moment). When I walked into that room something broke inside of me. All the love I had for him mixed with all the hate I had for him slammed together in the middle of my chest. I was ripped apart so bad that I couldn't do nothing. I mean, I was stuck in the moment, hardly able to breathe.

TYRONE: Mm-mm, mm. So, let me ask you this. Why didn't you pull a can of "whip" on them at that moment? Why wait until the next day at the shop to fight her? Some say you were scared one-on-one, and you had a better chance in front of the team in case things went wrong. Then others say you were worried Black was gonna side with her. What do you say?

ANGEL: I say I have no time for haters. People are gonna be people, Ty. That's one thing I've learned. No matter what you do it will never be good enough and someone will always try to judge you. I was too devastated the first day when I actually caught them in the act. But for some reason I didn't think she'd have the audacity to show up at the shop. When I walked up in there and she was sitting there looking smug, and Ms. O was talking about family...something in me snapped.

See, what y'all didn't see was the way she was eyeing me when I first walked in. Sitting there looking all smug like the cat swallowed the canary. I just couldn't do another day. All these months and years she'd been sitting in my face playing me like a fool in the workplace. I began to wonder who all knew and were they turning their heads the other way. I felt like a complete fool, Ty. It hurt so bad and I just released all my rage and hurt on her that day.

TYRONE: (He laughs). Honey, that you did! You weren't matching yo' name that day, cuz there was nothing angelic about that beat down  you put on her. Honey, that can of whip you pulled had me scared. And I ain't scared of nothing! In the end do you think it was worth it? I mean losing your job, moving back with your mom, and the impact it had on your little one.

ANGEL:  Well, a lot of bad and a lot of good came out of my decision. But in the end I have to stand by my choices, and live with the outcome. I'm thankful that I was hired back on at the Buckhead location in a better position. It has allowed me to grow so much in my career and learn the business side from Olivia. It brought me closer in my relationship with my mother, but it caused a lot of hurt to TJ.

All the good that came from it was obviously His divine purpose and He would have led me to that point one way or the other. I regret fighting her and causing Olivia the scandal that came to her shop. But was it worth it? Never. All the signs were there and I chose to ignore them until I could no longer ignore it. Then I made a poor decision based on emotion. I've learned a lot from that decision, and had to stand up to my responsibility in it all.

TYRONE: Okay! So you and my buddy Alex hooked up through all of this. I was so excited to hear that, but it seems to be moving super slow. What's going on with that?

ANGEL: Well, I poured everything into my relationship with Black. I gave my marriage my all and in the end I was destroyed. I can never allow myself to go to that place again. I took too much from Black.

TYRONE: But Alex is a different person. Speaking of taking too much from Black, why did you keep putting up with his mess?

ANGEL: He was my husband and I was going to stick with my vows. That wasn't the first time I caught him in the act with a woman. I think I would've continued taking more if I hadn't seen him with Kianna. At that point I had to wake up and say, "how much more, Angel?" How much more would I allow him to disrespect me, give away my self-respect, my self-worth, and love for myself? I had to ask myself what lesson was I teaching TJ? Then I couldn't continue to hold my head up walking into the salon knowing what I knew. I needed to learn to love myself.

TYRONE: And did you do that?

ANGEL: Yes. (Hangs her head shyly and looks back up at Tyrone with a big smile). And Alex was a major part of that. Patiently he taught me to believe in myself again, and showed me what I had to offer the world. He never bashed Black and always encouraged me to protect and preserve the relationship between Black and TJ for TJ's sake. He showed me that just because Black wasn't a good husband didn't mean he wasn't a good father. Most of all he taught me that "Angel" was worth loving. Now that I love "Angel" again, I can love someone else.

TYRONE: Shut up, diva!!! Is that a declaration of love for my friend?

ANGEL:  (Laughing). You have to hang around for book four, Ty, just like everyone else to find out what happens.

TYRONE: Okay, okay...I see you, girlfriend. So, let's talk book four. The lid is about to explode on a boiling pot in book four. Oh my goodness...I can't wait. Kianna comes back. How do you feel about that?

ANGEL: (Looks up to the ceiling). There were mixed feelings. I was extremely angry about how she played me, the disrespect, and it only brought negative feelings up again when I saw her. But, her story needs to be told. There was so much that I didn't know about her, about our connection, and so much more. It was enlightening, but it was definitely painful.

TYRONE: Did you ever forgive her for how she played you, baby doll?

ANGEL: I won't say. You'll have to wait for book four to see.

TYRONE: Honey, I needs to know now! (Laughing). Will there be nuptials for you and Alex in book four?

ANGEL: There again, you have to wait for book four.

TYRONE: You meet some new people in book four at the other salon. There's a bit more drama and a hair show, thanks to yours truly. You run into Belinda and Darla again and Belinda lets it out. How did you feel about her judging you?

ANGEL: Everyone's entitled to their opinion. I checked her though.

TYRONE: That you did. Well, thanks for stopping by, Angel. I guess we won't get anymore answers from you today. We have to wait for book four. In the meantime, tell the people where they can catch up on the story at.

ANGEL: On Amazon. They can click the word Amazon anywhere they see it in this interview and find their way to The House of BeJeweled. We want to see you there, so check us out on Amazon.

TYRONE: You heard it, people. She said you can check out the entire series on Amazon. And you can get a signed copy by emailing Chelle at chelleramseywrites@gmail.com. Thanks for stopping by Angel, and readers thanks for your attention, ladies. I love you, divas! But don't forget if you need your 'do did, stop by the shop and I'll hook you up.

ANGEL: Don't forget you can reach either of us at the downtown or Buckhead locations!

TYRONE: Okay, girl, I see you vying for our readers' attention! Alright, divas' you heard the woman. But if you want some of that Ty magic, girlfriends you know where to find me.
