Today's passage of Scripture is an encouraging one in times of turmoil and tribulation. See how our guest author grew in the midst of trials with help from Romans 8:28. "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28. The first time I heard this scripture in a sermon about the promises of God, I remember that my heart was filled with joy and peace, and the verse was embedded in my soul. In the years since, I still react the same to Romans 8:28 because it has repeatedly been proven true in my life. One perfect example involved my retirement. I had always planned to work until I was sixty-five, but harsh and unjust actions by my principal forced me to realize that at sixty-two, I had given my all and it was time to retire. As it turned out, on the first day of the next school year, my mother was rushed to the hospital ER. Had I still been working, I would have missed the first four days of school! Sitting in the hospital, I realized that for those who love God and seek his will, in the end, things will always work out in their best interest.
